What We Do

We offer our clients exceptional value, saving them time, money, and the burden of researching service rules that may vary from one jurisdiction to another.

We have experience working in high-profile and exacting cases. Because we conduct research to locate defendants and witnesses and to determine the most appropriate way to serve them, we have successfully served process in numerous cases where the defendants or witnesses were actively attempting to avoid service.

We also advise our clients on methods of alternative service, foreign subpoena requirements, witness fee requirements, and much more.

Capitol Process Services is part of a national association working with agents throughout the country allowing us to serve our clients coast to coast. We have an agent that specializes in international service within the guidelines of the Hague Convention.

Our Beginning

Our clients include the largest law firms in the Washington, DC area and other major cities, Fortune 500 companies, and Federal Government departments and agencies.

We are bonded, insured, and licensed throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan Area and we are a member of the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS) and the Mid-Atlantic Association of Professional Process Servers (MAAPPS).

We continue to provide exceptional service to our clients. We have received multiple awards including Best Process Server by Legal Times and the Good Hope award by Bread for the City.

“Having been involved in the practice of law for 30 years, you learn that you can not effectively litigate cases unless you have someone to serve suit papers and subpoenas correctly. You also need competent investigators. In my early years I worked with many process servers and investigators; but I found that Capitol Process Services, Inc. was the best.”
